November Brewer of the Month is something different...
/This month we’re having Thirsty Thursday on a Wednesday (Nov 23) because of Thanksgiving, and in that mindset of change we’re having Elder’s Cut Meadery come and present their best. If you’ve never had mead before it’s a great chance to come out and try some for the first time. We’re looking forward to seeing you there.
Mead is probably the oldest alcoholic beverage on the planet – the word “mead” itself stretches back at least 6-7000 years. While it had it’s time in the sun ages ago, it’s become mostly forgotten – until now. Luckily, Elders Cut Meadery, from Robesonia, has recaptured the art of making this historic, tremendously tasty alcoholic drink. Using local, raw honey, well water and traditional methods, Elders Cut Mead is full of the flavor of honey, actual fruits, and herbs, with no processing or filtering. It’s 12% Alcohol, so the kick is more like wine than beer, but the flavor is – well – you’ll just have to find that out for yourself.
