Do you have a local brewer you like? Nominate them for Brewer of the Month!

Beer has likely been brewed for thousands of years, with evidence of beer-making dating as far back as ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. In fact, beer was often considered safer to drink than water due to its fermentation process, which killed off harmful bacteria. Over time, different cultures developed unique brewing methods and ingredients, such as hops in Germany and potatoes in Peru. The Industrial Revolution brought about major changes to the brewing industry, with the introduction of steam power and refrigeration allowing for larger-scale production and distribution. Today, the craft beer industry continues to evolve with new flavor profiles and brewing techniques, while traditional breweries maintain their time-honored practices.

Each month we recognize brewers through our Brewer of the Month program on Thirsty Thursdays, and now it’s your chance to help us out. If you know a brewer who you would like to nominate for Brewer of the Month, complete the recommendation form on our Brewer of the Month page to add them to our list.
