Come help with Oktoberfest prep on Sept. 13

On Wednesday, Sept. 13, we have another night of food prep in the outdoor kitchen for Oktoberfest. Our volunteers have been putting in yeoman's work in getting all the wonderful German foods ready for the event, but many hands make light work so the more volunteers we get, the faster things get done. Come out at 5 p.m. to help Dieter and the crew!

So much food...and still there's more to do!

The food prep for Oktoberfest is in full swing, with two more chances for you to help make the biggest event of the year for RLK a success.

When finished, the food volunteers will have made over:

• 1100 lbs. of Goulash

• 2,700 Schnitzels

• 800 lbs. of roast pork

The next chances you have to help are Sept. 13 and Sept. 20 starting at 5:00 p.m. in the outside kitchen.

Give Dieter a Hand with Oktoberfest!

Oktoberfest happens with all the strength and effort of our volunteers, but that volunteering begins long before the event!

Everyone’s favorite chicken wizard, Dieter, is looking for help every Wednesday through September 13th starting at 5 p.m. in the outside kitchen to help prepare all the wonderful food so many people love at Oktoberfest.

That’s right the second round of preparing Schnitzels and Goulash is here. The first 2 evenings went well but now we have to also add the Roast Pork to the prep. So if you are handy with a knife or good at flouring and breading or even just dish washing, please we need your help. We will be starting at 5pm and go till we have had enough for the evening. So if you have a knife and a cuting board bring them along or your bare hands to help with the schnitzel breading or pork slicing.

If you’re handy in the kitchen, want to lend a hand, or just have hands, come out and give Dieter a hand getting things ready for our biggest event of the year.
